| ■Yu Watanabe http://www.yu-w.jp/ She’s from Tokyo and after graduating from an art school, she entered Green Camel Co, Ltd. as a character designer. She produced the mascot character 〈HELLO KOALA〉 for Australia’s Lone Pain Koala Sanctuary. She’s developed Uni’s original character〈Candy Poem〉for baby’s ware. She also created 〈Pocha Pocha Panda〉〈Jaran Jaran〉for Fabric. She then became a freelance designer. She’s currently working on many stationary, children’s books, and publications. Published a picture book called〈A gift from the desert〉. Created the 〈Sukiyaki meets the world〉poster. Since 2000, she’s been holding an exhibition of her own works every year in Omotesando and this year will be her 11th. |
